This morning the Daily Beast published the article Italy’s Triangle Of Death: Naples Residents Blame Child Cancer Rates On Mob Disposal Of Toxic Chemicals. I'm SO GLAD to see some attention being drawn to this situation, which is one of the scariest environmental disasters I've ever imagined and it's hiding right outside one of Italy's most beautiful cities. Some of my colleagues have been covering and trying to get attention for this issue for years. The video is a trailer for Toxic Europe, directed by Investigative Reporting Project Italy's co-founders Cecilia Anesi and Giulio Rubino as well as Delphine Reuter with the collaboration of Leonida Reitano and edited by Gianmarco Giometti. It won the "Best International Crime Report Award 2011" (BIOCR). Cecilia and Giulio spent an entire year living in Napoli documenting the situation.
